On Jasper, drivers get the freedom to choose which cancellation policies to offer, and passengers can review them before booking.

3 Types of Cancellation Policies

Flexible

  • Free cancellation until 24 hours before departure. 
  • After that, riders can cancel up to 12 hours before departure and get a refund of 50% of the ride cost.
  • If a rider cancels within 12 hours before departure, the rider can not receive a refund of the ride cost.

Moderate

  • Free cancellation until 3 days before departure. 
  • After that, riders can cancel up to 24 hours before departure and get a refund of 50% of the ride cost.
  • If a rider cancels within 24 hours before departure, the rider can not receive a refund of the ride cost.

Strict 

  • Free cancellation until 5 days before departure. 
  • After that, riders can cancel up to 3 days before departure and get a refund of 50% of the ride cost.
  • If a rider cancels within 3 days before departure, the rider can not receive a refund of the ride cost.

 

 

Frequently asked questions 

What if the driver cancels on the passengers?

If a reservation is canceled by a driver, we'll automatically give the rider a full refund. If a driver cancels on riders frequently, they may be subject to a lifelong ban from driving on the Jasper platform. 

Can riders get a refund if the listing isn’t what was expected?

We’ll help riders find an alternative driver to travel with or issue a refund if the ride was inaccessible, unclean, unsafe, or if there’s an animal present that the host didn’t mention in the listing description. Contact us to report an issue.

Can riders get a full refund if the driver can’t or won’t respond after accepting a request?

Riders should contact us within 24 hours of experiencing an issue. In qualifying cases, we will cancel a reservation and issue a refund.

What if a guest needs to cancel because of an emergency?
We may be able to issue a refund if a guest has to cancel because of an emergency. 

How long does it take to get a refund?

We send refunds immediately upon cancellation and they usually show up within 3-5 days, but sometimes it takes as long as 15 days before they reflect on the original payment method.
